What is led downlight?

What types of led downlights are included?

Downlights can be divided into 2 inches, 2.5 inches, 3 inches, 4 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches, and 10 inches according to size. Generally, there are three parameters related to size, outer diameter, opening size, and thickness. That is the size of the holes dug during ceiling construction.
According to the classification of lamp beads used in downlights, they can be divided into three types: high-power lamp beads, low-power lamp beads and integrated lamp beads. Among them, high-power lamp beads can be divided into 1W, 2W, 3W single, and chips from good suppliers. And packaging can make the lamp beads reach 5W and 10W power; small power can be divided into 3014, 3528, 5050, etc. according to the packaging form; integrated lamp beads are COB. In terms of appearance and heat dissipation, in theory, low-power lamp beads have less light spots and relatively better heat dissipation, and are increasingly favored by customers.
Downlights generally have fog masks, but the fog surface comes at the expense of reducing light efficiency. Therefore, some downlights are also made into transparent covers.

Downlights generally come in three types: large (5 inches), medium (4 inches), and small (2.5 inches). The market price of small size in 2023 is between $2-$4USD/pcs, medium size is between $4-$6usd/pcs, and large size is range from $7 to $10usd/pcs. What you should be pay attention on downlight installation?
- After opening the LED downlight package, you should immediately check whether the product is intact. If a malfunction occurs that is not caused by human factors or is within the requirements specified in the manual, it can be returned to the retailer or directly to the manufacturer for replacement.
- Cut off the power supply before installation and ensure that the switch is closed to prevent electric shock. After the lighting is lit, do not touch the surface of the lamp with your hands. This lamp should be installed away from heat sources, hot steam, and corrosive gases to avoid affecting its lifespan.
- Before use, please confirm the applicable power supply according to the installation quantity. This product is only for indoor use. When outdoor, please pay attention to waterproof installation and ensure that the installation location can withstand 10 times the weight of the product.
- The product uses a high-voltage (110V/220V) power supply lamp cup, which should not be operated under frequent power on and off, as this will affect its lifespan.
- Install in a flat place with no vibration, no swing, and no fire hazard. Be careful to avoid falling from high altitude, collision with hard objects, and knocking.
- If it is not used for a long time, the LED downlight should be stored in a cool, dry and clean environment. It is prohibited to store and use it in humid, high temperature or flammable and explosive places.
